Nein, das ist nicht egal. Hier geht es um das Recht an einem Namen. Wenn ich das Recht an einem Namen besitze, darf kein Anderer diesen Namen verwenden, auch nicht im privaten Zirkel.
Nur hat niemand das Recht auf den Namen gepachtet. Sonst darf niemand im privaten Zirkel Micro$oft aussprechen ... denn *der* Name gehoert Micro$oft sehr eindeutig. (TM), (R) und (C). Hier geht es ja auch nicht um einen Namen, hier geht es um eine intere Domain-Bezeichnung. Solange DNS-Server linux.de richtig aufloesen, ist kein Problem gegeben. Und allein die Nutzung zur Mapping von oeffendlichen IP-Addressen ist reserviert.
Auch das Argument, dass der Domainname nicht nach draussen kommuniziert wird, stimmt nicht. Masquerading unterdrueckt die IP-Adresse der Teilnehmer des lokalen Netzes, aber nicht die Domainbezeichnung. Diese wird zwar vom Provider durch dynamische Adressvergabe veraendert, aber eben nicht camoufliert.
Ein Reverse-DNS oder DNS-Lookup ergibt trivial, dass linux.de aus einem ganz anderen Netzblock kommt. Zudem diese Daten eigendlich nur von Browsern weitergegeben werden.
Auch sendmail uebernimmt die Domainbezeichnung, versende mal deine mail mit dem Befehl: sendmail -q -v und dann sieh dir mal den Ablauf des handshakes an.
Solange niemand vorgibt, von der Domain linux.de zu kommen (und dazu gehoert IMHO ein From: ...@linux.de o.ae.) taucht der Name nur im HELO auf. Jeder Eingeweihte weiss, dass man da beliebiges eintragen kann.
