Are you sure you want to translate the trunk branch? The trunk should correspond now more or less to the factory version, the future 11, and as such, it must be in constant change. To translate now means you will have to translate it again and again several times... In the other hand, I suppose a .pot file in there is an error. It should be a new .po file, probably created through the corresponding make target. There is no such file in the Spanish tree, for instance; but if I run "make update-po", and then "svn status", I see that most files are modified and two new files appear: cer@nimrodel:~/Projects/babel/SuSE/trunk/yast/es/po> svn status ? slepos-installation.es.po ? dirinstall.es.po ? squid.es.po M ldap-client.es.po M ca-management.es.po M sound_db.es.po M samba-client.es.po M timezone_db.es.po M sshd.es.po M inetd.es.po M iso-countries.es.po M instserver.es.po M bluetooth.es.po ... and more. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. Yes, but if you would start a new language now, you probably would like to translate nevertheless ;)

Let's call it a feature. And yes, do not translate those POTs.
There is no such file in the Spanish tree, for instance; but if I run "make update-po", and then "svn status", I see that most files are modified and two new files appear:
Yes, we are updating the POTs now. Thus far I did not merge them with the existing translations because we want to address some issues the next days first: 1/ Applying the last proofreading results. 2/ Sort out which modules are interesting for the business products only. There is no need for openSUSE translators to work on those files. So, stay tuned :) Karl -- Karl Eichwalder R&D / Documentation SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-translation+help@opensuse.org

We are getting closer. New POT files are available and I'm going to merge them soon, probably later this afternoon. We decided to keep all the POTs even if they do not belong to the openSUSE base distribution. The reason is, that most of these modules are are available via the Build Service, so it makes sense to translate them too. Nevertheless it is desirable to identify all the very core files; this would help new language teams to do the most visible parts first. slepos-installation is already translated for the tier 1 languages (de, es, fr, it, ja, pt_BR, zh_CN, and zh_TW); I'm going to copy those from the branch to the trunk. -- Karl Eichwalder R&D / Documentation SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-translation+help@opensuse.org
