[opensuse-translation] Typo in Release-notes.pot
Hi all, I have found a typo in the RELEASE-NOTES-openSUSE.pot file: in "For a brief descriptions of many GNOME Shell features..." descriptions should be description. I think that filing a bug is not useful in this case, since it takes some time before being processed, so who can I contact for notifying him/her the typo? Moreover, is it correct the string "Version 12.1.2 (2011-10-21)"? There is a thread about the notes in the factory mail list. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R. I have just read that thread but the linked document is so different from the current pot file that I do not know whether it is useful to report the typo, also because the typo is disappeared from the document. If that document is the source of the pot file, I hope they will give us enough time to translate it. In the factory ML, they are talking about the so-called Marketing Release Notes. We probably could take over some parts of them into our Technical Release Notes--but this would need re-formatting and re-wording, IMO. I would be great, if someone would work on this. -- Karl Eichwalder SUSE LINUX Products GmbH R&D / Documentation Maxfeldstraße 5 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-translation+owner@opensuse.org

You could just have re-opened "CUPS 1.5 (bnc#726178)" ;) Now fixed in SVN. It's not too late, because I still expect more changes and enhancements the next days.

The date string updates itself at packaging time, which is not that good for translations. I must find a way to separate it somehow from the "Version" string. Using two paras would be the easiest (and pretty ugly): <para> Version: </para> <para> 12.1.2. (2011-10-21) </para> -- Karl Eichwalder SUSE LINUX Products GmbH R&D / Documentation Maxfeldstraße 5 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-translation+owner@opensuse.org
By the way, Karl, is it still OK that release notes have a copyright marker for Novell? I thought it should be SUSE by now. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-translation+owner@opensuse.org

Yes, in general this is still ok. But I'm not sure, whether that's still mandatory, though. Maybe, a bug report could help clarifying it. -- Karl Eichwalder SUSE LINUX Products GmbH R&D / Documentation Maxfeldstraße 5 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-translation+owner@opensuse.org
