[opensuse-translation] l10n process control
Hi there, I am one of the l10n contributor here since SLP 9.3, and my continuous task is to push translations to the build before release ... in short: there should be no English messages if I use openSUSE in my local. But you know... something always comes up and I felt guilty and helpless. So I have tried to figure out a process and good control points: * sync1: generate the pot file from source and compare with the pot files in the l10n svn * sync2: compare the po files against the generated pot files * sync3: compare the language po file in the factory source Here is the small figure about the whole process: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2556976/yastomatic.png And here is the web interface: language view: http://yastomatic.npsh.hu/language_dashboard.html package view: http://yastomatic.npsh.hu/package_dashboard.html I am not a developer and not a real translator, just a community member, but I have found two guys who helped me to turn this vision to reality, so I would like to thank to István Nyitrai (sianis) and András Máté (amate) for their help. Everything is just started and we test it on yast only, but the framework is flexible to extend it other components later. So we have several ideas how can we improve this, but at this point I would like to know yours... Cause, speaking of language-view, however I proposed that F is something based on a word Factory and T is something on a word Translate, but that should be pointed somewhere. Well, first of all, the picture is drastically beautiful, great work! thanks. it was much easier than develop the process behind it (thanks again to my mates)

well, I am not sure that I could release the icons (this is novell branding stuff... by the way I am work at novell but not on opensuse related field), but I could make available the other parts (created with OOo)... I will later.
As for the web-interface, is it just me blinded with the pic, or there's no legend for this?
you are right. this is under development and you can find few Hungarian words as well (sorry about it), at this point I would like to talk about the concept, I would like to change the letters to icons later.

Yes F is factory, T is translate, later there will be a third row as merged (if there is a difference between F and T pot we will merge the new po files automatically) and make it available for download.
What are the 'true' and 'false' displayed on sync icons (and BTW how come sync2 and sync3 can happen without sync1? that doesn't fit on this wonderful diagram)
