I just answered in Bugzilla: If it is an 1:1 renaming, you can use (available in the SVN): 00-tools/lcn-remove-textdomain.sh OLD_TEXTDOMAIN NEW_TEXTDOMAIN (If you send me a list, I can do it.) I now also saved all translations in 00-memory/memory.$l.po files. This could be used to populate new files. I don't have contact with them, except via bugzilla... which is a problem. Translation works best when there is an easy channel for communication with devs. For example, I translate xine, and I participate (reading mostly) on their dev mail list, so I can ask them directly for things, and they of me. Yes teh yast-developer ML is a fine place. But I guess some yast developers are also subscribed to the translation ML -- this of course, does not mean that they are actually reading all the mail posted the translation ML. So, if you are sure about the issue, the most reliable thing is to handle it via bugzilla. If in doubt, start a discussion on either ML.

I can write a mail to their list and ask them if one of them would subscribe (+ place the link to the common i18n- mistakes). Unless of course Karl got some direct answers (I always assume he knows everybody in the company, but the truth is probably that the developers are scattered around the world).

Last time you reported a bug all went without a hassle, but if you don't want to mess with it anymore - just don't. I suggest to go on with a status quo: they don't publish - you don't translate. I propose that the webyast tree be removed from the svn, as apparently there is no interest in their translation :-/
