[opensuse-translation] Localization related bug in LiveCD

Hi, There is bug in openSUSE LiveCD installation process: if you don't press F2 to select your language, and then if you select your language in YaST Live Installation, /var/lib/zypp/RequestedLocales will not be modifited according your selection. (Becides, this is not request to include all locales in LiveCD, This is about different behaviour of YaST installation, according language selection in boot menu) That is: * If you press F2 and select you language: Your language is suggested in YaST Live Installation; You have you locale in /var/lib/zypp/RequestedLocales (for automatical installation of language packages for your locale in future); You have English sytem (as espected), but you will get you language packages automatically then online repositories are available. * If you don't press F2: You boot in English (as espected); You can choose language in YaST Live Installation, but if you choose any other - you will see two languages selected in settings summary window before copying LiveCD content to hard disk (strange). In /var/lib/zypp/RequestedLocales is only en_US (in contrast to settings!) Maybe solution could be to execute something like echo "lt_LT" > /var/lib/zypp/RequestedLocales before copying live medium content. So please help to find solution for bug https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=775607 witch for some people seems very minor. Well, if you read his mail, bugzilla is closed as WONTFIX - so I guess it's only fair to ask other people working on translations if someone is willing to hack ycp Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-translation+owner@opensuse.org

Hi, Maybe we should ask for help on lists that devels read (the ones which can code) as we are on our own in this bug and I guess the majority of us translators can't create a patch to fix this strange behaviour. You would be surprised how often translators become developers because a need arises - I heard they can read documentation too ;-) Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-translation+owner@opensuse.org
