Hello Rizman Suzaidi, thanks for your interest! Before starting with the actual translation work, we must make sure, that a suitable font for displaying Malay is available for openSUSE. Mike, will you please check this issue? Once we know it I will initialize the *.ms.po files and give you commit permissions. Yes, "ms" is correct.
As this language uses the Latin Alphabet, fonts should be
no problem. Most likely "DejaVu Sans" is already OK.
According to
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malay_alphabet
it doesn’t even use accented letters.
Fontconfig doesn’t yet know Malay ("ms").
That means,
fc-match :lang=ms:outline=true
will fall back to English when trying to select a font for Malay. That
should be no real problem as English fonts should work fine for
Malay. Nevertheless one should probably add this language to fontconfig.
