[opensuse-translation] About Translation Online Updates
The jumbo update for 11.2 prepared (see bnc#558749), now it is the maintenance's turn to verify it and forward it to the update servers. Next time, we could try to do a better job ;-) Here are some remarks how we can make sure that the packager will not miss scattered bits: If you fix a bug that is meant to be "finalized" with an online update, do not close that very bug, but assign it to the packager who will prepare the online update (up 'til that's always ke@suse.de, but we could change this in the future). Then we must either identify a bug or create a meta bug that "depends" on all the other translation bugs. Use the meta bug to ask maintenance@opensuse.org for a so-called swampid. Once everyting is in place, prepare the packages and create so-called submit requests (sr) with openSUSE:VERSION:Update as the target (I hope that that's correct). ======================================================================== The most important part about this is, not to close bugs as long as they are not linked with some other bug. Of course, all this applies for online update related fixes only. During beta testing just close your bugs as usual.
