God's will–or, whenever I ask the developers ;)

I would not mind doing this in other ways. In the past, it did not work our to write down a schedule and ask the developers to stick to it. Ping'ing one day in advance is always necessary and even then it works for only some of them for various often very valid reasons.

[Dream mode enabled] The editor tool would automatically connect to a server and notice that the particular message you are translating has been updated upstream, download it, and offer it to the translator, showing the differences (is/was mode). The developer would notify the V2G program that he intends to do changes, so we would avoid those files.

V2G could know that some translator is working on a file, and notify the developer not to do changes just now.

It would be nice when for messages that have been changed, which result in fuzzy's, the original message remains as comment in the pot file. In that case it is easier to find the difference with the original message. lokalize displays these differences in an easy way.

Hi, Something like this is already done if you use lokalize it has a field where in the fuzzy message is showed what was changed, like in this picture: http://picpaste.com/zypper.png The field "Alternate Translation" shows that 'command' (in red) was replaced by 'configuration' (in blue), plus the %s variable was added to the end of string.
