[opensuse-translation] SVN+SSH Access
Hi all, I am currently trying to setup my machine to be able to commit to openSUSE SVN server. I am wondering has anyone try and success in accessing SVN server using SSH ? When I access the SVN server using SSH, it prompts me for password. Thank you very much __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! People that know Greek ;-) (Do they?) Look at the article history, ask them on their discussion pages. IMHO, by the nature of the wiki no one is forced to tell you more than you can already see. So *polite* question might give you what you want. And, please note, that we are using (hijacking) the thread that has nothing to do with your question. If you want to answer to this message, please open new thread. -- Regards, Rajko M. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-translation+help@opensuse.org

When I access the SVN server using SSH, it prompts me for password.
That's you Novell account password. I just tried it with my external account from outside the Novell net and it worked: svn co svn+ssh://USERNAME@forgesvn1.novell.com/svn/suse-i18n/trunk/lcn Instead of USERNAME use your account name. If you upload you public key to the Novell forge server, you do not even need to specify the password again and again. Click "Special pages" (left navi area), then page down and click "upload public key". More detailed it is explained at http://developer.novell.com/wiki/index.php/Suse-i18n-downloads . -- Karl Eichwalder R&D / Documentation SUSE Linux Products GmbH GPG: 1024D/06EB882E B2A3 AF2F CFC8 40B1 67EA 475A 5903 A21B 06EB 882E --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-translation+help@opensuse.org
