[opensuse-translation] No slovenian packages on DVD!
KDE and Openoffice packages with slovenian language are not included on DVD 10.2! Can someone give me an explanation for this? The DVD has only 3,7 GB, so the shortage of space can not be the reason. Is my language not important enough? All are important - just some are better translated than others: http://i18n.opensuse.org/stats/index.php shows slovenian with just 55% which was too little to include it :-( See my comments from some weeks ago after RC1 went out. We tried to keep CD1-5 + Binary AddOn = DVD - and did not add the language add-on to have a DVD that's less than 4 GB, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj/ SUSE Linux Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

Sorry, but this answer of yours just does not hold water! Yast translation, which really is incomplete, is included! But KDE and OpenOffice, which are translated completely are not included. I could understand if Yast localization was left out, but one can include it during the instaltion. Slovnenian KDE can only be installed after setting up installation repositories. The same thing with openoffice. Matjaž

You never answered if you had checked the language add-on CD. For 10.2 the language stuff is pretty complex. DVD/CD1-3 has installation (that means YaST) in all languages + full support for tier1 languages. DVD/CD4-5 has tier2 languages of which the SUSE sepcific translations are >= 98% completed. lang-add-on ("CD7") Has the rest. Unless your translations are not on CD7 nothing is surprising here. But it goes to show that things are a bit messy. And I'll once again state that I think that for 10.3 we should strive to have all tier2 langs on DVD5 and CD7 and to make sure CD7 is included in the box. But guess we'll worry about that later. Which means that the language packs for the Slovenian language are on the addon language cd?
