[opensuse-translation] SVN at Berlios (still disabled)
Our SVN at Berlios is still disabled. Nevertheless a small hint. There is no need to check out the complete tree from Berlios once it is available. You can use the svn switch command: svn switch --relocate FROM TO [PATH] I frankly admit that I'm not familar with this command and I'm not sure about the exact syntax. But it is probably worth a try. Maybe, this will work: svn switch --relocate \ https://$NOVELL_ACCOUNT@forgesvn1.novell.com/svn/suse-i18n/trunk \ https://$DEVELOPERNAME@svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/opensuse-i18n/trunk I'm not sure whether you must change to the local trunk directory first and do the same for branches and tags. Any experts out there? -- Karl Eichwalder R&D / Documentation SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-translation+help@opensuse.org

You have to specify the locate path, for example: svn switch --relocate \ https://$NOVELL_ACCOUNT@forgesvn1.novell.com/svn/suse-i18n/trunk \ https://$DEVELOPERNAME@svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/opensuse-i18n/trunk . Thanks! But it did not work for me. Thus I'll start with a fresh checkout. I think, the opensuse-i18n SVN is complete now. There are already fresh checkins, though. Please check carefully whether everything is in place. And then, happy translating at BerliOS! -- Karl Eichwalder R&D / Documentation SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-translation+help@opensuse.org

Thus far I could not find an option to enable commit notification mails--not that I read every checkin diff in the past, but I made it a habit to watch over the SVN that way. Please help, if possible. -- Karl Eichwalder R&D / Documentation SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-translation+help@opensuse.org

Could anybody update http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Localization_Guide page? I´m still not exactly sure which one command to use for downloading files. 3. Will be also any directly url via browser, like viewsvn https://forgesvn1.novell.com/viewsvn/suse-i18n/trunk/? Sometimes i download and translate some of files in Microsoft Windows. Klara, what do you think, please? From Novell Forge we switched to https://svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/opensuse-i18n/trunk . Can you change the URLs accordingly?

Can someone please check this?

Webbrowser viewing options are listed in the box at the right here: http://developer.berlios.de/svn/?group_id=11406 WebDAV does not seem to be available. I do not know what you can use for uploading on Windows. -- Karl Eichwalder R&D / Documentation SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-translation+help@opensuse.org

Page is updated. Karl: Is it correct that an novell account is technically not necessary anymore? Regards Michael -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-translation+help@opensuse.org

Yes, for SVN access it is no longer needed. But you need it for the Bugzilla "experience" or for wiki edits. The Build Service account is also the same. -- Karl Eichwalder R&D / Documentation SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-translation+help@opensuse.org

I just did a "svn checkout https://$DEVELOPERNAME@svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/opensuse- i18n/trunk/lcn/nl" and in another directory the same, however lcn replaced by yast - I don't want all the files of the other languages - and inspected the resulting files. The newest one is from 2007-08-11, so these are very old files.!!!!!

The files for my language (nb) are also very old. I suppose they are just testing. Yes, the first try somehow failed. darix assumes that we ran in a quota issue. The dump we have here locally is complete (35G). darix is already talking to the people at Berlios. I'll announce once it is available for real. Karl -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-translation+help@opensuse.org
