[opensuse-translation] KPackageKit - Apper in oS 12.1
Hello, Someone suggested me to ask you that question: what version of KPacakgeKit will be shipped in 12.1? Will it be the 0.6.3 like in Factory and 11.4... If well, the problem is that, as old version, it is no more translatable. I have translated 100% of Apper in trunk but I have no way to push translations for 0.6.3. KPK is an important piece of software in oS - KDE, it would be a pitty to have that left untranslated. Is there a possible solution? Can it be, exceptionnaly, added in the lcn translations of openSUSE, asking the translation teams to push the strings upstream, like we did in the past with some specific KDE apps? Thanks in advance for your answer, Jean openSUSE translator ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Jean Cayron <jean.cayron@gmail.com> Date: 2011/9/13 Subject: KPackageKit - Apper To: openSUSE translation mailinglist <opensuse-translation@opensuse.org> Hello, Would it be possible to know which version of Apper (ex KPackageKit) will be shipped in oS 12.1? Can we still translate it in the trunk of KDE to have it in 12.1 or is it already to late? It's a kind of important piece on the oS KDE desktop. From the on-going KDE IRC meeting: [17:01] <elchevive1968_> someone ask on ml right now about the packagekit frontend to be used on 12.1 (if it will be updated to Apper) [17:01] <tittiatcoke> I wanted to bring that one up also :-) I have spoken with danntti in the past and he would do his best to create an official release for apper, but this never happened [17:01] <wstephenson> i have a todo to investigate [17:01] <wstephenson> i don't think apper is mature yet [17:02] <tittiatcoke> I am using apper from git and that works fine :-) [17:02] <tittiatcoke> wstephenson: A lot has changed in Apper during your absence. danntti really pushed a lot of stuff so that he could make an official release so that we could include it in 12.1 [17:03] <tittiatcoke> wstephenson: Sure [17:04] <tittiatcoke> #action wstephenson investigate apper So I guess there'll be an answer soon. But there seems to be a pretty good chance Apper will be in 12.1 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-translation+help@opensuse.org
