I know that, I learnt... I remove it, then recreate it making it learn from my projects files. The thing is, that if it is true that it is no longer maintained, and the following version (KAider, <http://code.google.com/soc/kde/appinfo.html?csaid=85B77CD7BD8B30B1>, <http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/playground/devtools/kaider/>) is so green that is not yet alpha), what is left? KBabel might even be dropped from the distro, that's what "scares" me. gtranslate was dropped and no longer developed, I think because kbabel was far better. It's no longer included in the distro. emacs... I can't get used to it, I miss features and I find its keyboard interface awkward. Even if the automatic translation of kbabel is too fuzzy, I prefer it to nothing. I don't know of a stand alone auto-translator. poedit, as Ladislav Michnovic suggests... yes, I have used it, but kbabel is nicer, so I switched. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. Lets hope kaider gets mature enough once kde4 is released. This isn't the first time we made a shift in translation tool with a new kde-version. Back in the kde1 days, we used ktranslator to translate kde. This application dissapeared with kde2, being replaced by kbabel. I use Kbabel, never had it crash or noticed any leaks. Maybe I don't use the features in question. A KDE4 replacement is in the works - kaider. It's being worked on in Google SoC.
