[opensuse-translation] License problem
Hi, I noticed pretty late that the license for our live cds is not what we want it to be. Now we change the english license and I can also change the german one, but I lack an update for license.cs.txt license.es.txt license.fr.txt license.hu.txt license.it.txt license.ja_JP.txt license.pt_BR.txt license.ru.txt license.sk.txt license.zh_CN.txt license.zh_TW.txt It's not really _that_ problematic as the english license is the only one that counts anyway, but it would be great if some could send me a translated version of the diff below. I basically only need the two lines with a guidance what other lines to remove. You may make and use unlimited copies of the Software within your Organization. With respect to any version containing the letters "OSS" in -the product name (with the exception of those versions containing the -letters "NON-OSS" in their product names), whereby the product name is -defined in the file "content" in the uppermost directory of the product, You +the product name, whereby the product name is +defined in first line of this Agreement, You may make and distribute unlimited copies of the Software outside Your organization. Hi Stephan, In Japanese translation, there was no appropriate sentences like this;
(with the exception of those versions containing the letters "NON-OSS" in their product names), whereby the product name is defined in the file "content" in the uppermost directory of the product,
I think the Japanese version is a little outdated thing. Anyway, I've just added "whereby" ... "Agreement" as follows; (Note: UTF-8 encoded) -とができます。製品名に「OSS」という文字を含むすべてのバージョンにつ +とができます。製品名 (この文書の冒頭に記されています) に「OSS」という +文字を含むすべてのバージョンにつ Thanks, -- Yasuhiko Kamata E-mail: belphegor@belbel.or.jp --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-translation+help@opensuse.org

Then we better ignore it all together. I think that the Japanese version should stay exist and updated, too. I'll contact with Novell Japan and ask them (about updating). So please put the Japanese version on CD with the diff applied. I'll tell you later about the result of talking with Novell Japan. Hi Stephan, As I told before, I've finished working about the Japanese version of license text. This translation was already verified with a legal affairs of Novell Japan. So please update the license text on the media (for openSUSE 11.1). Thanks, -- Yasuhiko Kamata E-mail: belphegor@belbel.or.jp

Hello. What I see on the 11.0 media in EULA.txt file is the part which is marked to be removed in the diff output above. That part wasn't in 10.3 EULA text. Haven't you accidentally run the diff on the files in reversed sequence ? Yes, I see. I found license.tar.gz tarball on the DVD. I don't see tarball with Licenses on LiveCD medium. How is displaying of translated License handled on LiveCD? I would guess there is no such option. The sk and cs License text on DVD media lacks the sentence about "NONOSS" (which is in the diff output), so they are not up-to-date. Probably other languages as well. Is it possible to translate the sentence by someone who is not a lawyer, for example me? If yes, then Bugzilla report could be filed.
