Dear translators! Good news: we once want to distribute openSUSE 11.3 contributor boxes! Now the annoying part: we once again must check team members and their addresses. As a base, we will use the 11.2 translators list; thus we only need the address of new translators who joined recently. Of course, it would not hurt if you others would confirm your status--it would save me a lot of time if the coordinators would collect this info for all their team members. Note, this time we will not send any automatic mail asking for confirmation; just answering this mail is all what is needed. Crossed fingers and thanks a million for all your good work! Hi, it took a little bit longer than initially planned. The boxes are ready and during this week we or our distributor send the free evaluation boxes to the openSUSE contributors and you translators. It will probably take some additional days until the boxes arrive. Depending on your location, I'd say we should wait one or two additional weeks until we must check why the box did not arrive at your end. All who contributed work on the 11.3 release (I cannot publish names here). I received quite some feedback from translators and team-coordinators that I forwarded to our back-office for preparing and sending out the parcels. If one of you who qualifies will not receive the box within the next weeks (shipping will take place from Germany, Europe), please report back to me and we will try to track it down case by case. I received my box today but I actually returned it unopened. Otherwise I would have had to pay a 36 Euro customs charge. It does not really matter because I suppose the shipment did not contain anything else than the openSUSE DVD, which I of course have already dowloaded and burned. It is nevertheless a litte strange because some of us had this problem some years ago also. Therefore openSUSE changed their shipment method (or contents labelling?) to avoid customs charges, but I suppose we are back to the old method again :). -- Olav Pettershagen -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-translation+help@opensuse.org

Well, what does the shipment contain? I'll be at home on the end of December, so if there is only DVD and book, I'll not enjoy it much until release of new version. :-) Anyway, no mark from home the box would already be in the Czech Republic... :-) For next, I'd rather appreciate a T-shirt or anything what is not so desperately old when I get it :-) Best regards! :-) On ocassion, I suggested the box ships a patched version of the distro. Ie, press it a month later with a lot of the patched rpms that are made till about one month after the public release. That way, the box would be a super-gold-master release. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R.
