[opensuse-translation] Traslation of "Upcoming features" and Screenshots pages.
Hi All, i would like to bring your attention on the fact that we (translators) need to have the "Upcoming features" [0] and "Screenshots" pages ready for translation at least two or three weeks before the release. I don't know who is responsible for that pages so i wrote here... If we want to make a sort of marketing campaign we need obviously more time to "spam" all over the blogosphere the new features and enhancements of oS 12.2. Thanks for attention, Bye hawake [0] http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Upcoming_features P.S. My apologies for cross posting, i think that this question regards both Wiki translation and Project mailing lists. -- Linux user number 433087 Linux registered machine number 351448 http://counter.li.org/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-translation+owner@opensuse.org

[0] http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Upcoming_features Sorry, but it's not clear to me, why we should translate UPcoming features, if it happens for the release. It should be "Release Notes" or something. -- Regards, Minton. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-translation+owner@opensuse.org
No no, sorry i try to explain better. Since that pages are actually not ready, we can't translate them. So i'm asking to everyone who is working on them, to complete them at least two or three weeks before the release of openSUSE 12.2, so that we have enough time to translate and share with blogs etc. ... It seems this page is not for any fixed version marketing campaign, it's used for ambassadors and boosters to tell anyone interested in openSUSE "What's next", so when 12.2 is released, this page will become the upcoming features of 12.3... If you want to sync this page with your translation, then you will overwrite your 12.2 work. My solution is to create a 12.2 portal and translate a fixed version of this page in Chinese localized wiki. Maybe what you want is 12.2 release notes which is in i18n.opensuse.org: http://svn.opensuse.org/viewvc/opensuse-i18n/trunk/lcn/zh_CN/po/RELEASE-NOTE... And RC1 features broadcasting here: http://news.opensuse.org/2012/07/12/opensuse-12-2-rc1-available-for-testing/ (almost all of new features and updates are here) That's the marketing material I've found. Every release of openSUSE Jos Poortvliet, Hendrik Vogelsang, Rajko and other guys create the Wiki page with all features of that release, with screenshots and other stuff... so i'm not referring to blog articles but wiki pages like this one for the 12.1 release: http://en.opensuse.org/Product_highlights. I'm simply asking as a translator to everyone is working on that page to ultimate it before the release of openSUSE 12.2 so that we have enough time to translate it just for the release date.
