Fwd: [opensuse-translation] What is "boot slot"?
Hi! This is the explanation of the main ppc developer Greetings, Stephan ---------- Weitergeleitete Nachricht ----------
The person translating bootloader.es.po (yast) has dificulties translating this one:
#: src/ppc/helps.ycp:44 #, fuzzy msgid "Write to Boot Slot" msgstr "Escribir en ranura de arranque"
Nobody in the group knows about the ppc arch. What is a "boot slot"?
This means a "kernel slot", were the boot binary is written to the OS/400 side. It is a file in /proc (/proc/iSeries/mf/{A,B,C}/vmlinux) Maybe the help text should be changed to 'Write to iSeries kernel slot'. -- SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-translation+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-translation+help@opensuse.org
