I can write few things there, and I'm not an admin on XP, so my leeway is very limited. KDE for windows, though it would be nice to try, seems to be more than what I dare to install there. Ok, I may try. It is a bit on the large side, but I'll consider it. Space is very limited there, the computer becomes very slow and "trashes" when disk is too low. But I'll try if I can.
p.s. lokalize doesn't do spellcheck on windows right now, but that should be fixed in KDE 4.3 due next month.

Unfortunately, someone has blown the chances away. Someone has done something, via remote access: on Friday, there were about 2GiB free, today there were only 80 MiB free. I can't install anything :-/ I could use a keychain USB disk, but the machine has only USB 1, so external disk is terribly slow. And I had already deleted all "rubbish" that previous users had left, like games or downloaded music, compressed everything (it is ntfs): that's why I had 2 GiB free. Now I don't. I know, I know. Or I guess :-) I have used emacs, and vi. I like neither, because of their interfaces, because I'm used to something very different. I recognize their power, but I can't be very productive with them. Just a personal thing. (I used emacs to translate another type of project, not .po files). And anyway, the machine I have available in my spare time is very old and has only 80 MB of HD free at the moment... I can't install anything :-/ Mmmm... I guess I could score some geek points by having emacs there when the Windows admins come by some day... >:-)

I have seen three spam posts sent to different openSUSE lists this afternoon. This might be another one :-? If it is in fact a bonna fide answer to this thread that I initiated in 2009, one of the things I needed was work off the network, so this tool would be useless.
