I think trunk has been abandoned, there is no point translating it.
:-?
I don't think so, last commit for trunk was 12 hours ago: https://svn.opensuse.org/viewvc/opensuse-i18n/trunk/
I also noticed that zypper translations are regularly updated and integrated to Tumbleweed.
Recently, French translations for Tumbleweed's YaST desktop files were successfully updated even if I had to make the submit request by myself on the Build Service (desktop-translations package).
Therefore French team (at least I) is still translating Tumbleweed. I heard that you (and all the Spanish team?) had stopped translating it but French team has not taken such a decision yet (as far as I know).
Finally: I'm not sure about who is taking care of the pot updating job and of the integration of the translations in the distributions. Maybe Karl Eichwalder? Or Gabriel from Vertaal?
Anyway, to the concerned people: I'd like to help on this part in order to accelerate things a bit. Unfortunately I have found no information on the wiki about this (joining, process, etc.). Could you tell me how to join?
Trunk is the translation branch for Tumblewwed as it was for Factory, so there is no reason to abandon it. POT files update is a dev job. Devs must submit new POT files _AND_ update the translations from PO files too. For each POT file, there is (should be) a maintainer. For LCN you have a MAINTAINER file : https://svn.opensuse.org/viewvc/opensuse-i18n/trunk/lcn/50-pot/MAINTAINERS For example, for zypper : * Michael Andres is written in MAINTAINER file * he (mlandres) updates zypper.pot file : https://svn.opensuse.org/viewvc/opensuse-i18n/trunk/lcn/50-pot/zypper.pot * he is an active dev of zypper : https://github.com/openSUSE/zypper/commits/master The problem is that lots of devs do not take time for translations update. That is why Karl Eichwalder pings maintainers regularly, or at least before string freeze. Guillaume
Regards :)
