Stephan, This is not the problem. Some entries that ARE translated don't apear translated into the menu. In Yast2, icons are localised but not the menus "File"... When you launch a module (install, for example), it's launched in english. But, on a console, if I put before LANGUAGE=3Dwa_BE-utf8 and then yast2 (wi= th root), it's perfectly localised. So wwhat is wrong in KDE4? Jean 2008/3/9, Stephan Kulow <coolo@suse.de>:

Hello everyone,
In submitted this bug but it doesn't seem to interest anyone: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=361249
The problem is that the localisation of the main menu in opensuse-kde is not working properly. What is more, Yast2, when launching from KDE4 is also half localised (icons) en half in english (menus and yast components when opened...). The yast2 issue didn't occur in KDE3.
Does anyone experienced the same issue? Does anyone think it would be more a problem of KDE4 than opensuse?
I can only tell it works with German. Not sure when you translated it, but on Factory /usr/share/desktop-directories/suse-applications.directory looks correct and on 10.3 it does not. So it would appear to me you're not using 10.3 or 11.0, but something with build service in the mix and the translations there are those of 10.3 with files of 11.0 - e.g won't give a good mix in most cases.
