Thanks! coolo found the cause of the trouble. The lost string is now back in update-desktop-files-yast.$LL.po.
Or do we have to add an additional repository for string collection?
No, bug is in openSUSE 11.3M7 with standard repositories. But additional repositories (Factory) and manual translation updates didn't help.
