You'd have to dig into the SVN history. Writing script to do the string processing would be fun (you can use msgfilter | msgattrib); no error handling, but probably good enough: for f in */po/SUSEgreeter.*.po; do msgfilter -i $f sed -e's/</</g;s/>/>/g' \ | msgattrib -o tmp.po --no-wrap --clear-fuzzy - mv tmp.po $f done I think I can safely run it on the German file, but I'm not that confident with the other languages.
