opensuse 11.2 RC2, XEN problems
I started to test a little with XEN and found some issues direct Installed DVD version of 11.2RC2 64bit and all applicable updates on a new system. My Issue - Failed install doesn't give you a second chance * Create a new VM, 2G Mem, 2CPU, 20G preallocated disk * make it Full Virtualization * Boot PXE Realized that I want to change the name I shutdown the vm, get thrown back to the install dialog (as expected) but any change I try to do gives me a "A VM configuration already exists with that name." (except if I change vm name).. I even deleted /etc/xen/vm/* and I still got the same error. Only way to continue is to cancel, delete the vm from the vm manager and start over. Minor itch, at first I created a Fully Virtualizated vm and set mem to 2G but expandable to 10G (I have 12 on dom0). No complaints at all except that the guest didn't work. pxe gave a white screen and cd install just shutdown on the middle. I assume you can't really do live mem expand on a Fully Virtualized guest (and my entry was an error) but it should give me a different warning that a disfunctional guest. /ps -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-testing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-testing+help@opensuse.org
