opensuseupdater: too much caching?
Hello, (using RC2 from Factory) My opensuseupdater-kde keeps telling me that there's an update for itsself available (probably the update-test-affects-package-manager patch). However, this patch and the corresponding RPM is no longer available on the server. Where does the updater get the patch info from? Too much caching? The result is a quite obvious message: Problem beim Laden von Daten von: File ./rpm/noarch/update-test-affects-package-manager-99-99.noarch.rpm not found on media: http://download.opensuse.org/update/10.3/ Please, see the above error message to for a hint. (and the updater still tells me there's an update available...) Is this worth a bug report? IMHO yes. It sounds like an issue we should address. I would fill a minor/enhancement bug with y2logs attached :-) thanks, Martin

Argh, found it. I disabled the update repo before updating RC1 to RC2 (I intentionally did not want to install available updates) and enabled it later. But unfortunately, I did not switch on autorefresh :-( The "bug" is gone after switching autorefresh on, so no bugreport this time ;-) Regards, Christian Boltz -- Eine Windows-Kiste als Tor zu Welt - das wäre ja so, als würde man einen Blinden, einen Lahmen und einen Tauben als Wachschutz einsetzen.
