Hi all, this email is the last call for help testing openSUSE before the gold master. So if you want to help with this process, this is email is for you. We are organizing the manual test using a public spreadsheet [1]. In this spreadsheet we have an small test plan (what to test) in the first column, and who is testing this in the first row. The goal of this is to have a good (in a easy and dirty way) overview of the actual test coverage, and a place to put notes and BNC bug references. If you want to help, please: 1.- Put you alias / name in the first row 2.- Download the last build [2] 3.- Pick some tests cases and test! 4.- Publish the result in the proper cell: 4.1.- Put the full name of the media (media, arch and build number) that you used to make the test 4.2.- Use green if the test is ok, or red if is not ok (yellow if you are not sure) 4.3.- If is not ok the test, please, create a bug report in BNC and put the number in the cell Thanks!!! The repos are already loaded, so a zypper dup or iso net install should get you final. I just did a RC2 update via DVD. It still needs about 1/2 a GB of downloads to get to the latest on my laptop: This is from my freshly updated via 13.1 RC2 DVD system with just the 4 main repos enabled: =========================================== linux-3j6w:/etc/zypp/repos.d # zypper dup Warning: You are about to do a distribution upgrade with all enabled repositories. That's not a reason for testing to stop. Exactly. Also this testing can improve the releases notes. We are trying to put all the relevant information (mainly workarounds) for 13.1 bugs here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkuHdcrRkoiXdGRKNUxXdFhhSjFEdVNvZW04ZE5yVlE&usp=sharing#gid=0 After that we will create the bugs for the release notes in bugzilla.

Hi All, I've tried a fresh installation on a test system and on VirtualBox, using the GNOME Live image. During the installation, i selected italian language. In both cases the system installed is partially italian and partially english. openSUSE 12.3 had the same problem, but smaller (just few parts of KDE, in my system, were in english). Here i have almost all the software installed by default through the GNOME image in english language (LibreOffice and other stuff included). I think that an experienced user can handle the problem, but newbie users coming from Windows could have problems. Should i fill the bug? Of course not, but wrt the $SUBJ, there wasn't much time for any last call testing :-) -- Per Jessen, Zürich (3.9°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - dedicated server rental in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-testing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-testing+owner@opensuse.org
