11.2rc2 - ssh install appeared to lock up in stage2 after/during network config
This seems pretty weird - I'm doing an ssh+nfs install of 11.2rc2 (build 339) and things seem to be going well right up until I'm configuring the network in stage2. I've got 4 NICs, and I'm configuring one for use with PPPoE. After I've sorted out all the details, the connection appears to stop. On the physical machine, I see no network connectivity - the arp table has only incomplete entries. In the kernel log I see regular complaints about "martian source" for messages that are clearly NTP or CUPS broadcasts (to 192.168.2.255). I don't yet have enough info to log a bugreport, so this is just to see if anyone has any suggestions to offer. I'm going to retry the installation without configuring the pppoe link (which is really the only thing I have not played with before). /Per Jessen, Zürich -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-testing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-testing+help@opensuse.org

Package "rp-pppoe" isn't on the DVD image, which presumably should cause the option to install a PPPoE link (for DSL) to be disabled? It wasn't, so perhaps that why the network config got screwed up? /Per Jessen, Zürich -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-testing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-testing+help@opensuse.org
