At about 03:00 GMT today, I did a 'zypper dup' on my M7 installation and got an M8 version. The M7 problems with the computer clock have thankfully vanished. I have done little testing; however, WPA2 wireless with KNM was fine. I also built the compat-wireless package so that my Broadcom 14e4:4315 device works. After the problems with M7, I was beginning to think that 11.2 Gold might be a disaster, but M8 restores my optimism. I guess creating a new version is like sausage - you don't really want to know the details!
