Hi I sent the same mail to the list and gmail. The mail that arrived to gmail had full and valid signatures, so can we check if the ML software removed the headers? On 05/10/2020 12:23, Per Jessen wrote:

Yes, I don't see any DKIM signature ?

I see that mailman3 adds a footer as well as the LISTNAME to Subject. (which matches our current config in mlmmj). -- Per Jessen, Zürich (15.2°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland.

the original list was: "To: opensuse-test@opensuse.org and contained header: " X-Mailinglist: opensuse-test they are both different now, the X-Mai.. is missing -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode

As this list goes via mailman instead of mlmmj, things change. You have now:

That's intentional, the list names *are* all changing as part of switching systems. -- 真実はいつも一つ!/ Always, there's only one truth!

does anyone see any DKIM headers in mails coming from that list? I sent the same message to the list and to my personal email address. The mail that reached my personal email address has all headers. The mail that reached me through the list, is missing at least the DKIM header (I didn't check for more).

the DKIM signature does not appear in the header. Looks like it is being stripped somewhere since: ARC-Authentication-Results: i=1; mx.microsoft.com 1; spf=pass smtp.mailfrom=suse.com; dmarc=pass action=none header.from=suse.com; dkim=pass header.d=suse.com; arc=none it was issued a pass so must have been there somewhere. or not -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode

On the initial message, sent to mx[12].o.o there must have been a DKIM signature, because: X-Spam-Status: ... tests=DKIM_SIGNED,DKIM_VALID,DKIM_VALID_AU, We (mx[12].o.o) then send it on to mailman3 and what comes out no longer has any DKIM signature. It has to be mailman3 that removes it. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (15.0°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland.

I do remember mailman has several options, with or without changing the sender (From: field). If one changes the sender to be the mailing list, then the whole DMARC / DKIM policy applies to the mailing list and other DKIM headers are ignored / not taken into account and can be removed. But if the sender remains the same, as I see in this mailing list, then the DMARC policy of the sender domain is evaluated and removing DKIM sigs has the same effect as invalidating. What other tests can we make? Michalis

Right; the Lazarus list, for instance, does this. They would set:
