[opensuse-support] KOrganizer: Meeting requests off by one hour
Hi *, I already filed a bug report, but I wanted to ask, if I am the only one facing this problem: Not exactly sure, when this started, but in the last few days I observed, that meeting requests are off by one day, when sent from KOrganizer/Kontact. This does not happen for example with Evolution. To reproduce: Schedule a meeting for today with some attendees, look at the mail that was sent, you'll find a "corrected" date to yesterday. The meeting request arrives in the attendees' mailboxes with this "corrected" date. I was in serious trouble, because all my vacation requests to my company had the wrong date 8-( Thx andy bye. Hi again, the problem still exists with Tumblewees snapshot 20200701 and akonadi-calendar, kontact and korganizer version (20.04.2). A few more information after having tested wih kontact and evolution. As you can see DTSTART and DTEND values differ with wrong values written by korganizer/kmail, but I don't have any idea why this happens. My bug reports on bugzilla.opensuse.org and kde.org haven't been answered yet. Created a new meeting request with korganizer. The resulting mail looks likes this: ------------------------< snip snip snip >----------------------------- BEGIN:VCALENDAR PRODID:-//K Desktop Environment//NONSGML libkcal 4.3//EN VERSION:2.0 X-KDE-ICAL-IMPLEMENTATION-VERSION:1.0 METHOD:REQUEST BEGIN:VEVENT ORGANIZER;CN=Michael Hirmke:MAILTO:<mail@organizer> DTSTAMP:20200707T111345Z ATTENDEE;CN=<organizer>;RSVP=FALSE;PARTSTAT=NEEDS-ACTION; ROLE=REQ-PARTICIPANT;CUTYPE=INDIVIDUAL;X-UID=93924959565920:mailto: <attendee> CREATED:20200707T111303Z UID:749ecf1f-462b-4040-a0c8-370403aecf60 LAST-MODIFIED:20200707T111303Z SUMMARY:Test LOCATION:Test DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20200705 DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20200707 TRANSP:OPAQUE END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR ------------------------< snip snip snip >----------------------------- Afterwards I modfied the location using evolution. Hi *, obviously no one besides me has this problem 8-< And no one seems to be able to accept my bug reports - neither on openSUSE's nor on KDE's bugzilla 8-( Is this really that special? It renders KOrganizer nearly unusable for me, because I am not able to send all day invitations. The recipients get them all with a wrong start and end date because of this bug. TIA. Bye. Michael.
