[opensuse-support] Compile just a single kernel module?
[second try] I'm trying to compile a single kernel module (iio/pressure/bmp280) that is not configured in. Using "method 2" from README.SUSE just compiles the enabled modules again. Reconfiguring the kernel gets me the module, but it also compiles the rest of the kernel, which I'd like to avoid as I will have to do that again with each new kernel version. Any incantations that let me do that? Hi Achim, Isn't this just "compile an out-of-tree kernel module" ? I'm sure I have done that before without having to recompile everything. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (4.8°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-support+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-support+owner@opensuse.org

make drivers/iio/pressure/bmp280.ko You need to have CONFIG_BMP280 set to 'm'. HTH, -dnh -- He's Jim, Dad! -- McCoy introduces his CO to his family -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-support+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-support+owner@opensuse.org
