[opensuse-support] Networking problem
Hello, since today's update I'm no longer able to connect to my office network using a copper link. NetworkManager tries to connect, but fails. The only message I see in the dmesg output is:
e1000e: enp0s25 NIC Link is Up 1000 Mbps Full Duplex, Flow Control: Rx/Tx
The wireless connection instead works. How to tackle that? Regards, Jörn Dreyer

Sorry, forgot that: LSB Version: n/a I did a a crosscheck, that the MAC address is correctly registered for DHCP.Currently trying to do a wireshark debugging, but get swamped by the network traffic. Regards, Jörn

The Ethernet message just demonstrates that your NIC is connected to a port where are presents electrical signals but this doesn't mean that from that point over there is a working network. Then you must troubleshoot your network step by step from the UTP cable on. If everything looks normally try to reboot your switch/routers/cable-modem, sometimes something hangs.
