slowroll (with e.g. firefox 119.0) wants to downgrade like 500+ packages....
Support, suddenly today, a normal working slowroll, with firefox 119.0, zypper ref and zypper dup wants to download like 640+ packages, wants to downgrade 500+ packages with firefox 118.0 rpm being downloaded. is slowroll somehow being re-spun, re-based or whatnot special expert wording and technical terms, or is something else amiss. this slowroll installation has been working nicely on a new x64 amd laptop the recent weeks. i have normal slowroll repos, the h264/cisco stuff and the update gage repo/metadata errors when refresh today but the rest acted as i described above. repos as described here, all normal, simple basic kde desktop setup.
anyone? thanks. SlowRoller.

Probably worth a bug report, i'm not sure if the maintainer is following this list. -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adelaide Australia, UTC+10:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B

some days later the zyper ref looks rather normal. about 20 or 30 actual rpm packages and firefox is only at 119 nothing spectacular. the many hundred packages or downgrades etc vanished. i didnt apply them during that weird situation. ty.

more probably, your relays were not up to date. happens frequently and zypper attempts to solve for what is available. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet oftc
