meet.opensuse.org does not work

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 How do I report that https://meet.opensuse.org/ is not working for me? My camera doesn't work. It worked early March. The camera works fine on other tools, like vlc or WhatsApp. Same issue with https://meet.jit.si/. I don't see a contact link in any of the two. - -- Cheers Carlos E. R. Did you reset the settings for camera access in the browser? If not, please try this first! Cheers Axel

I did unplug and replug the camera, do you mean that? I don't see a menu command to reset the camera. I just tried on a new firefox profile, no go. I also tried on Chrome, no go. I tried VLC, works. I tried <https://web.whatsapp.com/> on firefox, it works. It works on Google meet (first time I try). In configuration, it says "camera is starting", but doesn't. However, once I start a meeting, the camera works. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.2 x86_64 at Telcontar)

I tried a new FF profile, created two days ago. Today FF suggested to reset it because it had never been done (on a new profile?), and I accepted. Today is the first time I opened meet in that new profile, did not work. I tried again now, cleared the cookies, same result. Yes, meet has permissions to the camera, mike, etc. It worked Early March and February. The camera was purchased for the purpose recently, I don't remember the date; it worked instantly. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.2 x86_64 at Telcontar)

Are you using TW? If so, please update - in the last days was an update that moved all the codec stuff back to openSUSE standard (means - nothing worked anymore). openvc may be another point of failure - switch to version 4.5.+ introduced some failure for specific hardware (but I even dont know if FF uses the opencv libraries - just a thought) HTH Axel

Camera works in other tools, I can see movies, so no codec issues. The problem is with the server, I need to contact the people that take care of the server. Or the upstream jitsi people. Is it bugzilla, or is it admin@o.o, or somewhere else?

openvc is not installed. If that is the name of the package. I only have these files: cer@Telcontar:~> locate openvc /usr/share/kde4/apps/solid/actions/vlc-openvcd.desktop /usr/share/solid/actions/vlc-openvcd.desktop cer@Telcontar:~> cer@Telcontar:~> opi openvc Searching... Done. It was complicated. They tell you to not open a bug but ask first in the web forum, but they don't say exactly which, developers or users. After creating an account, I posted in the users forum. Being a new user, they don't allow me to post more than two links, so I had to go back and edit the text defanging all URLS like opensuse[dot]org. Sigh. Twenty minutes (I know because they tell you the minutes). -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.2 x86_64 at Telcontar)
