version is obsolete, from 2005: Mageia 8 has version 1.0.0.
The current repo is (apparently) <https://gitlab.com/ipcalc/ipcalc>,
updated past year.
(Sorry, I don't have the knowledge to do packages)
you might try netcalc. it provides ipcalc
cer@Telcontar:~> opi netcalc
Choose a number(0 to quit): 0
subnetcalc is in the oss repo
netcalc is in the network:utilities repo (Leap)
netcalc conflicts with ipcalc.
Telcontar:~ # rpm -ql netcalc
It is an old version, it lacks option "-i".
cer@Telcontar:~> ipcalc -i a.b.c.d/e
ipcalc: invalid option -- 'i'
Usage: ipcalc [OPTIONS] <NETWORK/LEN | - | NETWORK NETMASK>
I don't know how to find out the version.
