Research on this site gives nothing but a "high volume of traffic in Germany" (this site is very popular). The thing is registered in Panama and apparently no owners known. There is one blacklist entry in MyWOT but it is not clear what it refers to. https://www.urlvoid.com/scan/privacy-mgmt.com/ So if anybody knows what software causes this and why it tries to phone home am taker.
Disregard, I found out. It is actually a plasma object (yapstocks) that uses probably this service to screen a stock service of a third party to the app. (I understood now by looking at the shortening from the stock market).

No, I am watching the stock market and it is the only widget doing it. As it uses (I think) yahoo finance API to gather the values, I think to avoid changes in the website etc., they are using this intermediary thing. I did not see anything negative beside this one entry, but that one was not motivated by anything, explained or otherwise justified.
