Hello, I have HP x2 210 G2 [1] (Intel Atom x5 Z8350) which I don't use often, so I hadn't noticed earlier. I have TW installed on it and when I try to boot so far any 6.2.X kernel I get an error like [2]: [ OK ] Reached target Local File Systems. Starting Early Kernel Boot Messages... [ T818 ] atomisp-isp2 0000:00:03.0: atomisp: Error -2 while requesting firmware shisp 2401a0_v21.bin [ T818 ] atomisp-isp2 0000:00:03.0: IUNIT power-off timeot. [ T818 ] atomisp-isp2 0000:00:03.0: Failed to switch off ISP And here the boot hangs forever. Kernel 6.1.12-1 is the last one which is working. How can I fix that? Sincerely, V. You're missing a webcam firmware (shisp_2401a0_v21.bin in /lib/firmware/).
And here the boot hangs forever.
But the above is unlikely the cause of the hang.
Kernel 6.1.12-1 is the last one which is working.
I assume 6.1 complains about the FW the same?
How can I fix that?
I'd open a bug. In anyway, it'd help to obtain the kernel log to see what happens last. I.e. pass "debug" parameter to the kernel and maybe comment out setlogcons line in /usr/lib/systemd/system/klog.service. regards, -- js suse labs
This also happens on -Buntu based distros and for some reason does not happen on fedora.
