Ok, I don't use TW. Your alternative will be to use gnome tools instead, for a while at least.
I'm using TW and just tried to connect my android phone. It works for me. In case of transfer problems I use android-file-transfer-linux which is available for TW at least. Best regards GN

After update to Tumbleweed 20230724, connection to Android device is working again in dolphin, but not with android-file-transfer - it claims the phone is not a MTP device. Cheers Axel
For day-day use, KDE:Connect is great for beaming a few images at a time over WiFi. I've found quite a few problems browsing via USB with thousands of Camera images (that have rolled from phone upgrade to phone upgrade). My workaround is copy them all to an SD card on the phone and sneakernet the SD card to my workstation. I am not proud of this solution, but it works when I want to backup the phone's images and has been less hassle than trying to fathom out a working/stable set of packages against ever-changing Android. Faffing with a phone stopped being fun (for me) a long-time ago, but it's the "best camera" as almost always to-hand in my pocket. Daniel

I just tested and it works, given one have an usb sd card reader (wich is a good thing anyway) or any compatible usb pen on my redmi 9s phone it was even very fast jdd -- c'est quoi, usenet? http://www.dodin.org/wiki/pmwiki.php?n=Usenet.Usenet

I use that quite often as well, but not when I want to transfer 100+ images. Next to the fact that it 'dies' after 10,20 or 30 transferred images.....

Yes, its far from ideal, but just selecting by date and copying over....works As said the last KDE upgrade seems to have caused the issue.... Cheers Axel
