It definitely worked on openSUSE Tumbleweed 20201216 with kontact/kmail version 5.15.3 (20.08.3). I recovered a backup from December, 24th to a second disk to verify this. So: https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1180672
