Hi, I am trying to minimize the scanning times by defining whitelists in the /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf I just want to whitelist the mailinglist not the whole opensuse.org def_whitelist_from_spf @lists.opensuse.org whitelist_uri_host lists.opensuse.org def_whitelist_from_rcvd support@lists.opensuse.org opensuse.org Yet non of the above seems to work as spamd is not shortcircuting mailinglist mails. There is no amavisd-new running as all filtering is done with spamd in combination with spamass-milter. What is the correct way

It is a long time since I read the SA docus, but the idea is that whitelisting sets up a score to add (subtract), but still the total score has to be evaluated. I think there was a way to set a "hard" whitelisting, but I don't remember how. My local.cf file has this block, I don't know if that may help you: # Enhance the uridnsbl_skip_domain list with some usefull entries # Do not block the web-sites of Novell and SUSE ifplugin Mail::SpamAssassin::Plugin::URIDNSBL uridnsbl_skip_domain suse.de opensuse.org suse.com suse.org uridnsbl_skip_domain novell.com novell.org novell.ru novell.de novell.hu novell.co.uk endif # Mail::SpamAssassin::Plugin::URIDNSBL -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E.
