I saw that an ESET NOD32 update fixed this problem for some. Maybe try that, or just uninstall it.
Thanks for the hint, Dennis A good proof that a 'virus scanner' on Linux does more harm than good. Snakeoil, so to say /Ax
I am trying to uninstall eset, but no luck! Here is the listing from /home/doug/Downloads:
linux1:/home/doug/Downloads # ls -la es* -rwxr--r-- 1 doug users 124441008 Feb 3 19:06 eset_nod32av_64bit_en(1).linux
Here is what happens:
linux1:/home/doug/Downloads # zypper rm eset_nod32av_64bit_en(1).linux Reading installed packages... 'eset_nod32av_64bit_en(1).linux' not found in package names. Trying capabilities. No provider of 'eset_nod32av_64bit_en(1).linux' found. Resolving package dependencies... Nothing to do.
Nevertheless, it is installed, fersure! Pieces of it all over the place! Now what? Must I hunt down every instance and delete it piecemeal, orr
Found reason and fixed it. eset is gone.--doug

This will never work. zypper doesn't work with files, and anyway, the above file is not an rpm.

Good.
