[opensuse-support] 'shutdown -r now' fails at dracut debug shell
Happens at every attempt to 'shutdown -r now' from root login. 'shutdown -h now' succeeds. Fresh online upgrade from 42.2 on RAID1 to 15.0. Can someone suggest a cause or fix? Should I report a bug? About a dozen bugzilla.o.o searches turned up nothing. I've done several 42.2 to 15.0 upgrades before without any trouble at all, but none involving RAID; also 13.2, 13.1 and 42.1 directly to 15.0 sans trouble. -- "Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Those two bits made me think of this bug report I recently filed: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1104235 For me it was going from 42.*3* to 15.0 and I haven't tried what 'shutdown -h' does, but otherwise it does sound very similar. Alas, I haven't found a solution so far. HTH -- Till -- Dipl.-Inform. Thanks for reply. Now that I've added a comment to that bug hopefully its owner will consider to do something with it. :-p -- "Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom.
