openSUSE Leap 15.0 with KDE Plasma desktop. I have six virtual desktops and like certain programs to default to certain desktops. With KDE apps it's easy to define in System Settings > Window Management > Window Rules. I have one program that won't behave, however. Syncthing-GTK always opens on the current virtual desktop. Under the 'Window matching' tab, I currently have Window class (application): Exact Match syncthing-gtk Window role: Exact match mainwindow Window types: Normal Window Window title: Substring Match Syncthing-GTK Machine (hostname): Unimportant Under the Size & Position tab, I have Desktop Apply Initially 4:Desktop 4 I have tried endless different combinations (upper case, lower case, Exact Match, Substring Match, etc.), but the behaviour doesn't change. Any suggestions, please? Regards Bob -- Bob

I have one program that won't behave, however. Syncthing-GTK always opens on the current virtual desktop.
Under the 'Window matching' tab, I currently have
Window class (application): Exact Match syncthing-gtk Window role: Exact match mainwindow Window types: Normal Window Window title: Substring Match Syncthing-GTK Machine (hostname): Unimportant
Under the Size & Position tab, I have
Desktop Apply Initially 4:Desktop 4
I have tried endless different combinations (upper case, lower case, Exact Match, Substring Match, etc.), but the behaviour doesn't change.
Any suggestions, please?
Regards Bob DId you also try the "Program settings" from right-clicking the title bar?

The Window Rules are not available in the title bar right click menu for this app. All I get is: Restore Move Resize Minimise Maximise ---- [] Always on top ---- Close -- Bob

Not true; I just tried GIMP, and it does come up as stated. More actions/Special application settings --> Size and position/Desktop AFAIK, gkrellm does not even have a title bar -- at least I've never seen one here. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-support+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-support+owner@opensuse.org

Yes, you're right! I missed that. But Syncthing-GTK doesn't have the More Actions menu item. :-(

Also correct. Sorry -- Bob

did you try a right click on the taskmanager icon, normally you can also have the wanted submenu from there. I'm using it often on xfreerdp when full screen -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch Bareos Partner, openSUSE Member, fsfe supporter GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-support+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-support+owner@opensuse.org
