Hi I've just started using Wayland and when it opens windows, it doesn't remember where i placed it last time - is there a setting to say "remember last placement"? I couldn't find anything in SystemSettings/Window Management/Advanced regards Ian -- opensuse:tumbleweed:20221125 Qt: 5.15.7 KDE Frameworks: 5.100.0 - KDE Plasma: 5.26.3 - kwin 5.26.3 kmail2 5.21.3 (22.08.3) - akonadiserver 5.21.3 (22.08.3) - Kernel: 6.0.8-1- default - xf86-video-nouveau: 1.0.17

Assuming you are using KDE (which you did not say) https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15329

A not very convenient workaround is to set the "Remember" parameter for the "Size & Position" attribute of a window matched by a KDE KWin "Window Rule". https://userbase.kde.org/KWin_Rules#KWin_Rule_Editor -- Robert Webb

Thats works a treat. Not sure its a "work around" because of how Andrei explained how Wayland works but it would be good if they could be applied across the board in System Settings instead of program by program
