I want to configure the pulseaudio daemon on KDE Plasma. There are files in ~/.pulse already, including 'daemon.conf' The pulseaudio manual doesn't mention this user config location, just ~/.config/pulse What generates these files in ~/.pulse? Can I edit them or will they be overwritten?

update: it seems that ~/.pulse is a deprecated folder that was created by one of JACK's configuration tools. I deleted it, made my customizations in ~/.config/pulse/daemon.conf and everything works as expected. Perhaps someone will have the same issue and find this useful.
