[opensuse-support] TW in Bad shape ?!
Hi guys, TW is almost unusable for me at this moment. Not the distribution itself but when 50% of the programs that you need are badly broken... Lmms 1.1.2 broken since months : #1102999 replaced with lmms-1.2RC6 -> completely broken: all plugins missing :( Obs-studio: segfault on start... It happens only to me ? Thanks, Daniele. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-support+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-support+owner@opensuse.org

Possibly only those that use the same programs as you. I'm not using the ones you mention and TW is working fine. Maybe need to post to the TW list to get a definite answer on the programs you use.
Thanks, Daniele.

Sure, but if Lmms is a specific software, obs-studio is the most used for web-streaming (not only on linux) screen-recording ! So, in 2018 TW is not good for web-streaming. Even if it is not a TW fault, it does not make good publicity :| https://links2linux.de/browse/PM-143 https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/segmentation-fault-at-start.91987/ Thanks, Daniele. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-support+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-support+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks, Daniele. FWIW: installed LMMS on TW, and it launches OK ( moans about some plugins but I've seen that before, IIRC some path setting. ). But I have an interface, my audio devices look OK. Will test obs-studio

It's unusable without plugins, *all plugins* are missing.. seems a packaging issue.. Daniele. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-support+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-support+owner@opensuse.org

I'm sure it's going to be fixed as you have reported it on build.opensuse.org and bugzilla. It seems to be some problem with the path. However. They are there. Check /usr/lib64/lmms/ I just copied them from /usr/lib64/lmms/ to ~/lmms/plugins/ and it worked.
Obs-studio: segfault on start...
Which repo did you install from? I tried the one from packman, it segfaults. Then I checked software.opensuse.org and found a version that actually worked. Community package obs-studio-22.0.1-16.1.x86_64 https://software.opensuse.org/package/obs-studio https://software.opensuse.org/ymp/home:Aishou:obs-studio/openSUSE_Tumbleweed... -- /bengan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-support+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-support+owner@opensuse.org

Mm. Come to think of /usr/lib64/lmms and /usr/lib/lmms So I removed all copied plugin from ~/lmms/plugins/ and then just did: ln -s /usr/lib64/lmms /usr/lib/lmms However some thinks not right.
