rpmdb name has changed and backup script only handles the current name. You may consider bug report, this will affect any Leap 15 -> Leap 16 upgrade.

How many updates will be taken can be configured in /etc/sysconfig/backup It defaults to 5, I have it on 2 here. Cheers. l8er manfred
