[opensuse-support] bond interface slow on tumbleweed
Hello, after clean fresh install of tumbleweed my bond-interface (4x1Gb Intel 82576) performs only about 60MB/s. All interfaces are up with the correct speed, no errors shown, all 4 IFs show packets with correct size, balacing mode is set correctly. Same config with Leap 15.1 made about 260MB/s. At the moment I operate with only one of the four interfaces up and get about 116MB/S what everyone would expect. Someone any idea ? best Peter -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-support+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-support+owner@opensuse.org
Answering my own mail ... nice ... :) did I miss an answer ??? Meanwhile switched back to Leap15.1 and datarate is back high again. Not as high as expected but like before about 260MB/s. Thought that on TW with a newer kernel and newer OS there would be even more improvements but this seems to be contrawise. Kernel with its bonding-driver is built in OBS - right ??? So - is there something missing in the kernel-build for newer/other versions than Lp15.1 ? Maybe some feature which would be even good for 15.2 ? best, Peter Am Sonntag, den 29.12.2019, 15:54 +0100 schrieb Peter Furgala:

Probably not. I was watching, too. But thinking about it - have you disabled rpfilter? Are you losing packets on a flood ping? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-support+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-support+owner@opensuse.org
