must be millions of systems from that era still in use, so if there is an incompatibility with the OP's system, there would certainly be problems being reported around the globe -- not just from oS users, but from users of every other distro as well.
The last part I disagree with. Leap kernels are custom kernels, loaded with backports, made for SLE users, secondarily provided for use by openSUSE users. Few if any users of other distros would have use for those custom SLE kernels. 6.4 was never LTS either, so at this point in time, no user of other distros would be inclined to try any 6.4, much less SLE's, if their own distro wasn't also providing a 6.4. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is, like religion, based on faith, not based on science.
