There is a bug in kernel 5.5.2-2.1 in Kernel:/stable/standard that generates the title error message and has already had a patch created for it, per:
https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/14682
First question: since the version in stable was compiled well after the patch was made available, will that (stable) be automatically patched, or will it just 'age out', or should I file a bugzilla?
If the patch isn't in 5.5.2 yet, I'd file a bugreport.
Second question: is this bug just 'confusing people' as its originator says, or are there actually some bad things possible to happen running this kernel with this particular unpatched bug? I haven't noticed anything unusual yet but they sure seem to have rushed to fix it so...
My 2 cents: even if no damage is being done, sysadmins will start wasting time on checking whether that indeed is the case. A bug report, patch would remove that doubt and wasted effort.
Thanks.
